Pan on a stereo track
StereoPan is a plugin that enables the possibility to place independently each of the two channels of a stereo track in the stereo space.
In fact, with some host software, we only have one pan knob for the stereo tracks. We can’t then adjust independently the left and right channels of the stereo track.
The interface of the StereoPan plugin is very simple. It is composed of two knobs, one for adjust the pan of the left input channel, the other to adjust the pan of the right input channel.
List of the knobs :
By adjusting the two knobs to [ – 100% , 100% ], we get the settings of the stereo channels similar to the original. By adjusting the two knobs to [ 0% , 0% ], we spread the left and right channels in the same proportion on the left and on the right. We then get the same signal duplicated on the left and on the right. By adjusting the two knobs to [ 100% , -100% ], we get the left and right channels swapped compared to the input.
